If you have iDRAC on the server can you check whether iDRAC is accessible after connecting power

You can also bring the server to Minimum to POST and check the behavior. Minimum to POST configuration is the configuration that has the minimum components required to complete POST. Typically, the minimum to POST configuration is PSU1, CPU1, memory module in A1 slot, and the default riser without expansion cards.

Hi @DELL-Shine K , Thanks for the quick response, however, like I said, the funs run for just 2-3 seconds upon plugging in power. After that, nothing happens. Pressing the power button does nothing. Meanwhile, I noticed that the System status indicator is lighting amber, but cant isolate the cause. Any other suggestions?

can you try to start the server without any of the DIMM memory banks? If there are no beep error the issue is probably due to motherboard or CPU.

Hi @DELL-Marco B , I did what you recommended and didn't get any beeps. But my assumption was that I can only get the beeps if the server can start the POST!. In my case, the fans spin up for about 2-3 seconds when power code is plugged and nothing happens beyond that. Can that be a sign of faulty CPU?

if it doesn't beep without memories, then you are in a no POST situtation.

So the troubleshooting steps are to remove everything and leave only motherboard and CPU. 

If same issue, then it could be motherboard or CPU, but we cannot know which one.
