PowerEdge r410 OS Installation
Hi guys! I am new to the forum, but I hope someone will be able to help install Cent OS 7 on it. I have the disk and the USB OS. The thing is I am told that I have to update the server firmware before installing a new operating system. I visited this page: https://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/04/sln296511/update-poweredge-servers-with-platform-specific-bootable-iso?lang=en to get the proper firmware for the r410, it is not listed.
Can anyone help me, please?
Thanks in advance

Joscarlio,
There are several different ways to update the server (seen here). The Platform Specific method you had discussed is for 12th generation servers and newer, and the R410 is 11th generation.
You can use the Server Update Utility (SUU)with the Lifecycle Controller (F10 on startup), or if there is an OS already installed (Windows or Linux), you can update from within that OS.
SUU Linux
SUU Windows
Let me know if this helps answer your question

Thanks, Dell-Chris H for your help. I was able to install the update using the info from this link: https://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/sln285500/dell-emc-server-update-utility-suu-guide-and-download?lang=en.
Kudos to you, friend!
