Wesleyv,
The card won't be supported on the R620, as it doesn't support any internal GPUs.
Sorry it isn't the answer you were hoping for, but I hope it does help clarify the issue you're seeing.

Hi,
We may need to check on the online documentation on the server GPU support. Aside, do you have any GPU that is 1GB memory range? And are the server's firmware version being updated?

FYI, I have an RTX 2060 running in an R610 with 6GB of GDDR6 RAM, so not sure why any of that would be an issue. Only issue I had was providing the additional 8 pin power connection and it doesn't look like your P400 has that requirement.

This may help?

I have an R620 and don't think all cards that work in R610 will work in the R620, if any. The problem is the pci slot has very limited power output (barely 25 watts I think) and unless modified there is no 8 or 6 pin connector, so you need a low wattage card.
I tried quite a few cards and finally installed a 25w 4GB ZOTAC GeForce GT 730 Zone Edition 4GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16. The size of the card is such that I have to bow the sliding cover slightly in the middle back to fit but I can get it the latch closed without cutting the cover. I am using HDMI ... if I remember right you need to remove the VGA and swap to the low profile bracket. With Debian 12 use the nvidia-tesla-470-driver.

Well. I wouldnt agree totally with that. I have r620 and quadro k600 and I can't puzzle why once the server starts using this card and another time it uses the built one and there is no way to switch to k600.... So it can starts 5 times in roll with k600 and then next day from some reason it will start only via VGA built one one g200er ... Maybe some from Dell can solve this mystery ?
Is there any like bios setting responsible for that or ...?

Hello, I read the comments above.
https://i.dell.com/sites/content/shared-content/data-sheets/en/documents/dell-poweredge-r620-technical-guide.pdf#page=18
This is the user guide you are looking at
An internal GPU is available through certified factory installation (CFI) or field upgrade only. For a list of supported GPUs, see Table 7.
so most likely you are using some 3rd party card, not from Dell is what I'm suspecting. Can you confirm this by giving us the part number?
Thanks for choosing Dell once again.
