Poweredge R710 BIOS Firmware
hello i have a Dell Poweredgr R710 running on BIOS 1.3.6. I recently bought two new CPUs to install and when i did the server did not boot up. I went back to the old CPUs and worked again. I am wondering if my current BIOS needs to be updated before i do the upgrade? If so where can i get the file download to do so??

You should always update the hardware and drivers before doing hardware upgrades, although it's impossible to know from what you posted if that will definitely fix your issue ... it may just be incompatible. What model of processor is the original? New ones?

hello so the CPU the server is running on right is an Intel Xeon E 5540 @ 2.53 GHz and we are upgrading to an Intel Xeon X5680 @ 3.3 GHz. I did this upgrade last week to another R710 with the same specs and it worked perfect!.
