Hi,

Can you provide us more details about the current drives that are installed in the server? Also, if the replacement drive a Dell certified drive? You mentioned the slot is failed to activate, where did you see that? From OMSA or from the RAID controller BIOS? Can you also provide us what RAID controller is the server using?

@DELL-Joey C

Can I send you some logs of the Server?

Hi,

We don't usually do log analysis in the public community. If you do have logs, you can create a case online from our support site to obtain a technical support.

If you do have logs, you can paste it here about the first few 10 lines. Do let me know the information that I posted above, probably we might know what's the issue.

We replaced it with new and certified dell, from the TSR Logs though iDrac under the physical disk it says the RAID state is failed, in the system event logs it also states that fault detected on drive 0 in disk drive bay 0.
The RAID Controller we are using is PERC H730P Mini

Hi,

Usually if the RAID status is failed, it would not be able to rebuild. Can I check if data is accessible from the RAID array? What is the RAID level of the array? You mentioned also in the first post, Disk slot 12 failure and event logs showing Disk 0 is faulted, hence you might be having double fault. You would not be able to rebuild if there is double fault.

RAID level of the array is RAID-6

Hi,

What I mean is that if there is data in the RAID-6 array, is it accessible?
