R320 update path
Hello!
I hope someone can guide me in the right direction. I got an old R320 server and I'd like to bring it to the latest firmware versions. I read about that it is a dangerous thing to jump directly to the latest versions of the different FWs so I'd like to ask for some help figuring out the right path to update. I currently have the following FW versions:
BIOS: 1.5.2
iDRAC: 2.15.10.10
Lifecycle Controller: 2.15.10.10
Thanks!

Hi @zsohu,
Usually I advise users to update BIOS and iDRAC/LCC firmware parallelly according to their revision and date. Previously I comment a topic before: https://dell.to/3kNF4jc
For your situation, I would suggest going from BIOS 1.6 to 2.0 to 2.1 then 2.4 (yr 2015). Then move to LCC 2.20 to 2.30 to 2.40 to 2.50 then 2.52 (yr 2018). And back to BIOS.
Also, I may recommend reading every BIOS/LCC firmware release notes for any other prerequisites before updating.

Hi @DELL-Joey C !
Thanks for the guidance! Based on your suggestion I was able to fully update the server to the latest available firmware. I basically followed the release dates of the updates after 2018 and did every update just to make sure.
