R420: MEM0701: Correctable memory error rate exceeded
MEM0701: Correctable memory error rate exceeded for DIMM_B3.
2022-11-18T15:34:11-0600
Log Sequence Number: 2814
Detailed Description:
The memory may not be operational. This an early indicator of a possible future uncorrectable error.
Recommended Action:
Re-install the memory component. If the problem continues, contact support. What exactly is that? Is the chip currently working perfectly but may fail in the future? Is it already failing but in a way that does not harms the performance? Is it not working and the system deactivated it?
Should I do a reboot of the system to see if the error reoccur?

Can you check whether you have latest BIOS version installed on the server? If you are seeing the issue even after updating BIOS then you can swap the memory to a different slot and check the behavior. If issue persist then it is recommended to replace the memory.

Hi @Greg asd,
In addition to what Shine K has said, can you also try to reseat the memory module first and check if the error goes away.

I dont want to update anything on this server because I lost the original mainboard of it recently due an update attempt (idrac bricked). Here are the current version's info:
6.7.0 Update 3 Build-19898906 (A1
I rebooted it yesterday after I created this thread and the server restarted just fine, no more log warnings.
The slot in question now shows that in "System Inventory":
Now in the "PrimaryStatus" it shows "OK" just like every other slot. before the reboot there was something different there, I dont remember what was the word, it was something related to problems...
