r620 mainboard power port specs

Hello all.

I have a homelab I'm using an 8-bay r620 in. In it I have the integrated H710 and a PCI-E H200 (they're both flashed to IT mode so they're seen as LSI-SAS2308 and SAS2008 respectively). I don't have a plethora of 2.5" drives to use so I'm attempting to use 3.5" drives with a T610 and a ProLiant ML150 backplane. What I'm wondering if anyone has the power specs on the backplane, tape, and optical power connectors on the manboard. Voltages aren't as important as my multimeter got me those, but the amperage limits would be very helpful to know how many 3.5" drives I can run before needing to figure out some hacks for power (I have dual 750w PSUs so I don't believe I'm in danger of pushing them too far.)

Also if anyone knows if there are any unpopulated power headers on the mainboard that could also be used. I have no problem soldering on a socket, I've already added a 2nd SATA port on the unpopulated header next to the optical SATA port. If fact any information on anything that's unpopulated on the mainboard would be nice to know. The r620 is EOL and no longer supported so I'm hoping this info might be more readily available, especially anything about unpopulated parts of the board

Hello thanks for choosing Dell. However,  "ProLiant ML150 backplane"-> this isn't a Dell system hence I can't help much of help this time. We could wait around to see how the other community users could help you. Wish you a good one

Well the proliant backplane isn't what I was asking about. My questions were entirely about the power connectors on the mainboard of the r620. Specificlly, how much amperage are the 8-pin backplane (up between the fans), 8-pin tape (next to the SATA ports), and the 4-pin optical power connectors rated for? In the case of the 4-pin optical drive power connector what's the rating for 5v and 12v?

Hi @Nebular,

Unfortunately, we do not have any specs for the power connectors on the mainboard.
