R620 no VGA display during post.

Hello,

I have an R620 that does not display any text to the VGA out during POST/boot up.  If I repeatedly press the F2 key, it will enter BIOS and display to the VGA port at that point.  The same goes for the Lifecycle controller and Boot menu.  I was able to install an OS (Free ESXi 6.7) and the VGA port displays when the OS loads.  Any ideas as to why this might be the case?  A BIOS setting for example?  I have been trouble shooting this on and off for weeks now, any help would be greatly appreciated.
