R710 psu indicator in standby
Greetings
I don't have the setup currently to have the server running 24/7 so it spend extended periods of time in standby mode - connected to power but turned off. I noticed recently that PSU1 led indicator turns from green to amber after few hours or days after last time the server was running. PSU2 indicator remains green in the same time. I have no issue to start the server in this condition - there are no errors recorded just once the idrac showed a warning for split second which was not recorded so i couldn't read that fast. When the system turns on, psu1 indicator goes back to green. I wonder what the issue might be - error due to spike in electric supply network or the psu have a problem in standby mode?!

Hello,
What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far? If you haven't already, I would look at updating the platform, potentially to include the PSU firmware. If there's no change, you could try switching PSUs 1 and 2. If 1 keeps doing it after the switch, it may just be an issue with the PSU. If the former PSU2 starts doing it though, you'd probably need to look outside the server.
