Dauhimanshu816,

The R730 does have additional processors available to upgrade to, in the V3 group they range from the E5-2630 (part # 24FKW) to the E5-2699v3 (part # G64VG) , but the new Xeon v4 product family (Broadwell-EP) improves upon many features of the v3 series (Haswell). The V4 CPU ranges from the E5-2603v4 (part # 09XJJ) to the E5-2699v4 (part # 8923G)

Let me know if this helps answer your question.

You wouldn't need to identify your existing CPUs part number, just the part number of the processor you wish to order.

Hi,

We are not able to perform the Windows dump analysis.

Is that crash occur at similar hour on the day?

Because you upgrade the driver first that is a good point, the two other resolution path could be a software that cause the crash or an hardware issue.

Please investigate deeper on Windows app logs if possible and check the CPU/CPU slot pin that could have been damaged during the CPU change. Also check on the hardware log that no thermal issue occur.

Is the CPU rollback possible to check if the shutdown not occur with previous CPU?

I remain at your disposal.

Regards,

Thank you for your support, I check new CPU one by one and I found the issue in one CPU that was installed in slot 2.

I was getting ready to reply ... when I saw this was resolved a while ago; I was hoping maybe it was a quick fix (insufficient thermal paste or a heatsink which wasn't tightened evenly / enough) ...  glad to hear you got it all sorted out.

Curious; have you noticed much of an improvement going to the v4 .. ?

Thanks!

Hi,

I think we could wait around to see if other community users can share their experience of using processors v4.

Thank you,

Maria Januszka
