R730xd - IPMITool - Unknown FRU header version 0x00
Running a R730xd with latest iDRAC and BIOS updates.
When running IPMI tool with:
ipmitool -I lanplus -H $IDRAC_HOST -U $IDRAC_USERNAME -P $IDRAC_PASSWORD fru

I've tried reseting the iDRAC (soft reset, keeping configuration) but that doesn't result in valid data coming back.
Any ideas on what to try next to get valid data?

Have you done this successfully on any other 13th Gen. server? Anything with a '3' in it: R730, R630…
Did the example of one that did work come from one of your systems?
Your example:
FRU Device Description : Builtin FRU Device (ID 0)
Board Mfg Date : Tue Jul 19 23:30:00 2016
Board Mfg : DELL
Board Product : PowerEdge R730xd
…
From what we see it looks like it stops just before Language
Device Revision : 01
Firmware Version : 2.85.85.85(Build 50)
IPMI Version : 2.0
Manufacturer ID : 674
Product ID : 256
Status : No error
SDR Version : 1.5
GUID : 3132334F-C0B7-3480-3510-00364C4C4544
>Board Language Code : English
Board Product Name : PowerEdge R730XD
…
Check you language settings:
How to change the Language in the BIOS, the iDRAC and the Lifecycle Controller

Next try clear NVRAM , Reset BIOS to defaults and set the DRAC to defaults.
Clear NVRAM - there is a map under the lid to show the jumper location. Shut down, Set jumper to the Clear position, power on and Post up to the jumper error, shut down and return jumper to original location.
Boot to F2 > System BIOS > Default button next to Finish button at the bottom
Boot to F2 > iDRAC Settings > scroll down to Reset iDRAC configurations to defaults
