Thanks for your reply. Please note that The embedded VGA is enabled and I tried both VGA ports rear and front with the same problem and I don’t have KVM.
Please note also that this server was working fine and this happened suddenly with any changes to the server or even firmware update.
Did you know whether your system is actually booting or it is a video issue. You can check this by trying to access operating system remotely after sometime of booting or by checking POST code on iDRAC (Maintenance -> Troubleshooting page). you can also check boot capture on this page to see whether video is captured on boot capture. I would also recommend to update iDRAC FW again and check the behavior.
Thanks for the details. By checking remote OS I want to see whether vDisk is not actually working on the server or iDRAC only not showing virtual disk details. Is POST code showing any message?
Hi, I'm not sure if I could conclude this as a mainboard issue. To have the deduction, you will need multiple part swapping, cable connection test and etc…
Next test would be minimum to post configuration. Remove anything not on the list below (remove backplane, hard drives, PERC, expansion cards… anything not on the list). Also disconnect everything from the exterior except power and VGA. If you're using a monitor with an adapter to VGA I'd recommend get a monitor that is native VGA. In minimum to post configuration you should get video output.
Test minimum to POST is good then put things back a little at a time until you find component causing no video issue.
We need only these parts in the server:
One processor (CPU) in socket processor 1 (try a different proc if still no post/video)
One memory module (DIMM) in socket A1 (try a different DIMM in A1)
One power supply unit
Right control panel and cable (for power button functionality) (make sure cables are seated, reseated)
Please note that I'm unable to update the BIOS firmware or any other firmware from the iDRAC. Also just noticed that the memory doesn't effect the change of removal and still showing all the RAMs slots are present which means hardware changing not reflected to iDRAC even with iDRAC rest.
Hi, Can you try power drain on server if it does not change anything then please try to min2post as Charles indicated.
For power drain;
1. Power the server down. 2. Disconnect server from all power cables, Network cables. 3. Hold down the power button continuously for at least 10 seconds. 4. Insert power cables and network cables back to the system. 5. Wait about 2 minutes before powering on server to give the iDRAC time to initialize. 6. Power the system on.
We also facing same no video and no virtual console issue.
we are able to access IDRAC but no video through VGA port and no video from virtual console.
iDrac f/w updated to latest version.
kindly find below blinking pattern result: System is in final power-up state S25
Motherboard has successfully been brought up and system is ready to boot
LEDs will continue in this state as long as the system remains on, barring any error. Note that even though the system is up and running, that's not a guarantee of overall health - a no-video scenario is also still possible.
It probably sounds like a hardware problem with the motherboard. Have you tried following the steps recommended above? Boot the system to the minimum configuration for example. If you connect a VGA monitor, is there no signal?

Hello moabdelaal,
I'm sorry to see there is no vga signal. To confirm; you do not get video with a direct connect monitor or in the DRAC virtual console?
Can you check In the DRAC on Configuration > BIOS Settings > Integrated devices screen > Embedded Video Controller is enabled?
NOTE: If the embedded video controller is disabled in BIOS and if you launch the Virtual Console, the Virtual Console Viewer is blank No Signal.
If you have KVM take it out of the equation and direct connect monitor.
Is this known good monitor and cable? Tried a second monitor and cable also ?
Have you tried front and rear onboard VGA ports?
Is this something new that just started? Was it working before and now it does not?
Was anything done recently to the system like adding/removing any hardware? If so, try roll back any hardware changes.
Please let me know how it goes.

Hello moabdelaal,
Check that you are updated to the latest iDRAC 4.40.40.00 firmware and test results.
The host only has to have power to update the DRAC. It does not need to be turned on or booted to an OS.
https://dell.to/3gt9AbU
Get - File Format: An application
File Name: iDRAC_4.40.40.00_A00.exe
Execute to extract files and supply the firmimgFIT.d9 file to update.
