relocating a 4210 - is it safe to move it while servers are inside?
our server room is getting redesigned this weekend and we'll need to move the rack a short distance (probably no more than 10 feet)
our rack consists of the following, (starting from the bottom)
2- 3U APC UPS
1 PE6600 (7U)
1 PE4600 (5U i think)
1 PV725N (1U)
1 2U tape library
2 PE1650 1U each
once we raise up the feet and put the rack back on the rollers, do you think its safe to move the thing (with all servers inside) assuming we have a person on all four sides of the rack. My initial thought is that its better to be safe than sorry and to remove the 6600 and the 4600 at the very least since they're on the rapid rails and won't be too hard to take out. since the UPSes are on the very bottom, and the heaviest they should be safe. The other servers are small and light enough to not be an issue.
Any thoughts from dell regarding such a move with all servers inside?
