Upgrade up to 4 CPU DELL R810
I need to update up to 4 CPUs with the maximum cores and frequency a DELL R810 server, it has 2 x Intel Xeon X6550 @ 2.00GHz, . Can I add 2 CPUs of the same type or should I replace them with one of the following? E7-2870 2.40GHz 130W 30M 10 6.4GT/s E7-2860 2.26GHz 130W 24M 10 6.4GT/s E7-2850 2.00GHz 130W 24M 10 6.4GT/ E7-4870 2.40GHz 130W 30M 10 6.4GT/s E7-4860 2.26GHz 130W 24M 10 6.4GT/s E7-4850 2.00GHz 130W 24M 10 6.4GT/s E7-8870 2.40GHz 130W 30M 10 6.4GT/s E7-8867L 2.13GHz 105W 30M 10 6.4GT/s E7-8860 2.26GHz 130W 24M 10 6.4GT/s E7-8850 2.00GHz 130W 24M 10 6.4GT/s I need the highest power that supports and number of cores

All the processor which you mentioned except E7-8870, E7-8860 and E7-8850 are supported on PowerEdge R810. You need to ensure you have correct chassis while using some of the processor. You can refer below link for these details

You also need to ensure all 4 CPU on the server are same, and server have enough power while adding 3rd and 4th processor. Also each processor need to have similar memory population.
