Using Poweredge 1NV2N in and Poweredge r320 server

I am trying to set up my r320 as a freenas and plex media server and would like to use a gpu as a encode card for plex. I have done this using a NVIDIA k620 but I would like to option to use a video card that uses a 6pin power connector and the default r320 power distribution board does not have such connector so I am wondering if i could swap that board out for a Power-edge 1NV2N distribution board with out losing any server functionality

part 1NV2N is not supported in PowerEdge R320. It is supported on PowerEdge R440.

I know it is not officially supported but is there any reason it would not work(I don't mind jerryriging it in )

If not would there be any other way to get a pcie 6pin power connector into a video card form the server

Hello, what we are saying is we can not guarantee it will work or not- It has never been tested by Dell officially. That's where we meant by"not officially supported". Wish you a good one.
