which rails for round holes w/ threads?

I recently purchased a Poweredge 860 server. We have an older rack with 4 posts/round holes with threads. I ordered the static versa rails with that order. Rep told me these will work. Can anyone confirm that? Online Dell info states I should use rapid rails with an adapter. Now I am confused on which ones will work. Thank you in advance for any help. KB

The Versa Rails will work.  The one small issue when installing Versa Rails into a threaded hole rack is this.  The rails mount on the inside surface of the rack.  The screw goes through the rack and into the rail, therefore the screw tightens up on the rack and not the rail itself.  The screw has the potential of coming loose.  When you install the rail hold it firmly against the rack while you tighten the screw.  I would also suggest using some Blue Loctite.

The additional problem that you may have is the installation depth.  Dell's standard installation depth is 28 7/8" and most rail kits have a few inches of adjustment either way.  If your rack does not fall in the range of adjustment then you will need an adapter kit.
