RecoverPoint ethernet ports parameters

Question

Hi,

I have an issue with network connectivity on Recover Point management ports.
The connection has been established as half-duplex. Network team ensured me that network switch port is set up with autonegotiation off/100/full.
They ask to force ethernet port on RecoverPoint box to the same parameters.
I am trying to use ethtool command under the run internal command submenu:

ethtool -s eth1 autoneg off
ethtool -s eth1 speed 100
ethtool -s eth1 duplex half

But it seems like these commands didn't effect the connection status.
Has anybody tried it before?

Hello Greg,

Hope you are doing good. Please find the below mentioned updatet:

To Change the RPA default settings temporarily:-

Using these below mentioned steps will temporarily change the RPA default settings. These changes will be lost upon a reboot of the RPA.

Log into the RecoverPoint appliance with the Boxmgmt login. The Main Menu will display.
Select [2] Setup > [8] Advanced options > [6] System internal operations > [2] Run internal command.
Enter ethtool eth1 to determine the current configuration of the Ethernet hardware. Note Speed and Duplex settings.
Run the following commands to set the speed to 1000 and duplex to full.

ethtool -s eth1 speed 100 duplex full autoneg off
Run step 3 again to verify settings changed.

Note:

1) The RPA default settings should not be changed unless absolutely necessary

2) To persistently change the RPA default setting, you have to apply the signed scripts which is providing by EMC Recoverpoint Engineering team.
