There's no need to reinstall the cluster. What's going on here is that for VNX with RP/SE license, there's also an option for RP/SE installation. Unity/VNXe doesn't require the SE installation type, even if the license is SE. So, if the VNX is decommissioned and its splitters are removed so only the Unity splitters are there, there's no need to perform any conversion and you are good to go. Unity and VNXe splitters cannot work in SE installation type but only in classic.
