RP4VM Version For VMWare 8.0.U2

Hello, I want to ask what version of RP4VM is compatible with VMWare version 8.0.U2?

My current RP4VM is 5.3.SP3.P2. Is that version compatible with VMWare version 8.0.U2?

Thank you

Hi,

Thanks for your question.

RP4VM 6.0 SP1 is the recommended version. https://dell.to/3UWy3M7

Hi @DELL-Josh Cr , thank you for your reply. I see that the limitations in version 6.0.1 are very limited and very different from 5.3.3.2 which is currently running in our environment.

Meanwhile, in our environment, there are currently many VMs that are protected with the smallest size being 100GB and the largest being 15TB. If you look at the 6.0.1 limitations, it is not possible.

What about RP4VM 5.3.4? Can this version support/be compatible with VMWare 8.0.U2?

Thank you.

No, it doesn’t support it https://dell.to/4dExv4Y “Do not upgrade to version 5.3.4 from version 5.3.3.3 when running on vSphere 8.0.”

@ridhwanalmaruf  I'd seen the same.  It's basically unusable now as an enterprise solution.

@stevenlangdale Totally agree. I work as an system integrator. I'd say RP4VM is not competitive comparing to Zerto (the same developer if you google). The dashboard, the report, how flexible thing could be done with Zerto. I've been trying to install RP4VM in Dell Custom Image ESXi 8.0u2 for every version of RP4VM (also as recommended RP4VM 6.0 SP1) but it keeps stucking at splitter things, 53%.

@DELL-Josh Cr Thank you. We downgrade to RP4VMs_5.3.SP4.P1. This patch works fine.

I am wanting to update vCenter from vcenter 7.0 Update 3l to 8.0 Update 3. I am running ESXi 7.0 U3i.  Is RP4VM version 5.3.SP2.P4(M.154) compatible with vCenter 8.0U3 and ESXi 7.0 U3i?

I tried looking at the Broadcom product interoperability matrix, but am not seeing RP4VM in that matrix.
