Autostart 5.2 with Exchange 2003

Question

The symptom is that every time I move a resource group whether within the same datasource or to the other site, Outlook has to be closed and re-launched on the client side? My clients all run Outlook 2003...

I take it you are connecting to a virtual IP that is also switched when you are using Outlook? I can understand that the connection to the Microsoft Exchange server is lost shortly, but they will not automatically reconnect after some time? What errors do you see in your clients when you try doing a manual send/receive?

Correct that I am attaching to a virutal IP for the cluster and the error on the client side basically pop's up once the move initiates, without even forcing a send/recieve on the client side. The error is this "Your administrator has made a change, please close and re-open Outlook"...

The worst thing is, is that I have a case open with EMC and their answer to this issue is that this is the expected behavior...

Are your Outlook Clients configured to use Cached Mode?
