Autostart on Solaris versus RSF-1
We (a large UK local authority) are in the process of building our DR facility. Our EMC storage (Symmetrix , CLARiiON and Centera) is being replicated across the city using EMC's family of storage software.
The Disaster Recovery suite will also house duplicated SUN (solaris 9 & 10) hardware (mainly passive) which will be used as the failover site for our mission critical applications.
Does anyone have any experience using AutoStart in a Solaris environment which they wish to share ?
Our reseller is very keen to promote RSF-1 as the failover solution ( I am keen to go down the AutoStart path). Has anyone made a business decision after comparing the 2 products ?
Your comments will be appreciated,
regards Alick
