error attaching to target server

I get an error when trying to attach to a target server or when trying to edit a specification which mirrors to the target server. The errors I get are:

"Error connecting to servername.com Server: Error 5 -5 - Access denied"

"Target Site: Server Site servername.com Comm Failed: 5 - Access denied"

I have a second source server in the same domain and subnet that seems to be working perfectly and they're configured the same way. I'm stumped. Please help. thanks.

Also, mirroring is working fine from both of the source servers to the target server.
