Error creating Data Source

Hello,

I have all the time the same problem, each time I install a new set of servers, split the hard drive in 3,

C=20Gb
E=5Gb
D= the rest

install autostart 5.1 or 5.2 on C on the two servers =>ok

when I create the data source based on D drive, then if I go directly from 5.2 SP2 or SP3, then there is an error "error 520 - cannot create data source - D drive not available". If I uninstall it, and install the base version without service pack, then the data source will be created...

I cannot figure out what is the difference between new and old version so that data source will not be created anymore...

any idea?
