RecoverPoint Fan-In/Fan-Out Design

Hello,

I was just wondering if the RecoverPoint design (attached JPG) is supported. I know version 4.0 supports fan-in/fan out, but I'm not so sure about clusters being paired up by multiple cluster (similar to cascading, but not really since data is not going from point A to point B and then to point C).

So here's the breakdown:

:Cluster A will replicate "XYZ" data to Cluster B. That same data will also replicate to Cluster C.

:Cluster A will replicate another set of data, "ABC", to Cluster D.

:Cluster D will replicate another set of data, "DEF" to Cluster C. That same set of data will also replicate to Cluster B.

I know replicating data from Cluster A to Cluster B, Cluster C, and Cluster D is supported, but I'm not so sure if I can replicate a different set of data from Cluster D to Cluster C and Cluster B.  If the latter is not supported, I may opt to go with another set of cluster (vRPAs), Cluster E and Cluster F at that point.recoverpoint.jpg

This is supported. You can have to up 5 clusters connected in the same RP system. Various replication topologies are supported. In your case:

Cluster A is replicating same data to B & C ( CGs with 2 Remote copies)

Cluster A > D (CG with 1 remote copy)

Cluster D > C & B (same data, 1 CG with 2 Remote copies).
