Replication Manager 5.2 & Ex2007
Looking at implementing RM 5.2 to make backups of an Ex2007 that is using CCR. A couple questions about the RM server & mount host:
- Can the RM server & mount host be on the same hardware?
- Does this OS need to be W2008?
- Should this Mount Host also be the server that is used to perform my backup to tape?

Yes, they can
- Does this OS need to be W2008?
RM does not as yet support windows 2008 for the RM server role. This is due in the next release called 5.2 Sp2. RM server will need to be Windows2003.
- Should this Mount Host also be the server that is used to perform my backup to tape?
It should, why not, the best option.
