Hello Chris,
In some cases i have seen java not getting upgraded.
You can try removing the console alone by rerunning the 5.4.4 installation.uncheck it in modify option.
Then rename the GUI install folder if exist (default path -C:\Program Files (x86)\emc\rm\gui). to gui.old
Once done add the console back by using the same modify option.
Note: During removal only un-check the console option.Selecting Server will uninstall RM server .

Initially, before I got your response I installed the console onto another server which gave me control of the replication again. After this I ran the installation again as above and this rectified the situation. Thanks
