Unable to unmount
Hello,
I have just built a new 5.2.2 replication manager server,made some jobs and schedules.They ran ok but when they tried to mount it came up with a "possible incompatibilty due to symapi and solutions enabler on the clients".they were on 6.2.5 ,I believe they need to be 6.5.3.I can upgrade them np however,My rm server is sitting with the snaps mounted and when I try unmount I get :
resources for mount, restore, or unmount operation.

04-Nov-2009 10:02:53 Vbackup Making snap replica LUN Vbackup-0000-243 of source LUN :00000 not visible on mount host Vbackup. Please be patient.
And it just sits there forever,Is there a way to clear all the snaps mounted or not so I can start fresh?.
Thanks for the help,am sure there a log that I can clear to release the snaps as RM thinks they are mounted but they not.

While the SE warning is valid in terms of version consistency of the environment, it may not be the root cause of the original unmount failure.
It looks as if a previous unmount issue occurred, and ever time you try to unmount subsequentially, it will throw errors that the storage is no longer on the mount host clariion storage group (expected).
What the RM console will allow you to do is to manually set the state of the replica to unmounted by trying to unmount the replica three times in sequence (without doing anything else in the console). Please try this.
Once the replica state is unmounted, I suggest you reboot the mount host to ensure its state and device stack is clean.
If you continue to have unmount issues then;
Check the RM client logs for the first unmount failure on the mount host
Check the system and application event logs on the mount host for errors
You may have open handles to the filesystems you are trying to unmount by a process still trying to access the mounted filesystems, which affects RM uninstalling the volumes (VETOed),
James.

If the storage devices are truly not mounted and the steps that James mentioned do not mark the replica as unmounted in the console, you can call support and they can go into the RM database cli and mark the replica as unmounted.
