Hi all!

thanks for all of your tries to help.

The situation seems to be solved. The root cause of this problem was that Windows 2003 Server 32bit was out of free system page table entries. So easy, but hard to catch as only error messages appear from software components that need resources from that pool, no error in event log or other means of identifying that shortcoming.

Hi,

What version of AutoStart?

This issue may be a bug.

Hello again Tobias,

How is the cache configured on the RAID controllers? Is this an external SAN storage you are using maybe?

I think the source is coming form the storage system, not network. You can turn on debugging using vmvtest.exe command line utility, and then check the output with dbgview from sysinternals. More likely than not you will get a ton of gibberish, but somewhere in there might be a hint about the problem.

Hi,

thanks for the reply - Version is  5.2.3 w/hotfix 43387 for the mirror issue.

If the message VNCTransportPut is part of a bug, is there a workaround avail. that does not involve an EMC version upgrade?

Hi Tom,

the cache is configured to 25% read, 75% write and the drives are hot-pluggable SAS into a built-in cage.

Thanks for the info - I will give the vmvtest a try.

Hi,

There is one more hotfix.
A_WIN_HF_5.2_85454
This is a fixed patch of VincaMV.sys.

But,this version is already EOS.

Hi Ito,

is this patch directly related to the error VNCTransportPut? Because when I search powerlink there is no reference to it.

Hi,

Sorry.
It is not VNC Transport.sys.

This HotFix is not on the PowerLink

Would probably exist only in Japan.

I saw this event log for the first time.

VNCTransport: Mapping from physical page to system space fails in VncTransport.

event ID 4333.

This event is not reported from the customer  in Japan.
