4000 motherboard - blinking lights
I have a 4000 that has stopped working. Will not boot at all. With aux
power the 3 green lights blink every 3-4 seconds - that's all. With battery -
nothing. The CPU, RAM, etc. checks good in another 4000. Is the board dead? Any
place to check power?

I have been given a 4000 for my daughter, it has a formatted HD but I cant get
it to see the CD to load Win XP, if I put a win 98 Floppy in it say no CD
fitted as it is a swappable unit.catch 22 or am I missing something!

Inspiron 4000 buzz noise
My Inspiron 4000 have buzz noise nowadays. It really annoying when I'm in
silent area. However, I have successfully reduced it to minimum level of noise
unless you put your ear near to it. If not it can consider as "queit".
