Win 98 sees my empty COM ports as being used...
I am trying to install an infrared device on my serial port. The program sees
my com ports as being used. The only items hooked up to the machine are the
keyboard, mouse and monitor. How can I get it to "free" up the com port...only
COM1 and LPT1 are listed under Hardware Devices in the control

Problemas com notebook bateria
A luz da bateria fica piscando o tempo todo. Meu notebook só funciona
com o carregador conectado e mesmo assim a bateria não carrega permanece em
0%.
Se o carregador se mexer um pouquinho o notebook descarrega

D800 D-Port D-Dock conflicts Com port and CDRW-DVD
When Docked to the Advanced Port replicator, my D800 will not see the
CDRW/DVD Drive as it is in conflict (IRQ15) with the Com Port. Running XP and
can not seem to successfully change the Com Port configuration even though the
Device manager lets me change it to a Manual setting.

Hi all, I intend to switch on the Infrared on my 9100. Have been to

APC UPS not communicating with COM ports
I have found that my APC 1400 SmartUps is not communicating with
either of the COM ports in my PE4400. If I leave it plugged into port 1 it
thinks that the UPS is always on battery power no matter what the state of the
power and vice-versa when plugged into COM port 2.
