xps 200 issues/need new computer?
i've had this xps 200 since spring 2006, and it's ALWAYS been EXTREMELY
loud, even though it was touted at the time to be a quiet computer. I mean like
REALLY loud. but beyond that, now it gets so loud and overheats and then just
shuts down. and it's not like it's been on for a long time

Can anyone solve my problem please?
I'm running Windows XP on a Dell Vostro 200. Whenever I input a storage

XPS 200 system clock running too fast
I've noticed in just the past week my system clock on my XPS 200 is running as
much as two minutes a day too fast. I have not installed any new
software/hardware other than a Windows XP professional update about two weeks

nvidia Ti 200 with new driver 61.77 ??
I was wondering if anyone has downloaded the 61.77 driver on the Ti 200
without any problems. I,m wanting to go DVI out to a plasma. With all the new
resolutions and custome timings it would be just what the Dr. ordered. (short

Vostro 200 network driver issues Windows 8
After upgrading all PC's and laptops to Windows 8, the Vostro 200
encountered network driver problems. The generic Intel driver that comes with
Windows 8 fails to correctly recognize the network card. So I installed the
(Vista) driver (from ftp.dell.com) which only works intermittently.

Hi there.
The release notes for the 1.0.10 BIOS for the Vostro 200 says "Support
for recent Intel processors".
Can anyone provide more details than this?
My guess is that it allows 45nm

Vostro 200 ST hangs/freezes
My Vostro 200 ST is literally 3 weeks out of (1 yr) warranty and has
developed a fault. It started freezing on the Dell splash screen, then was ok
on power off. The current situation is that it hangs with no response from the
mouse after about 10 minutes of running Windows

Vostro 200 turns itself on right after shutdown.
I've got a new Vostro 200 that will power itself back up right after
it shuts down. Running Vista Home and I'm shutting down by chosing the option
to shut down from the start menu (I'm not pressing any of the buttons on the
hardware).

Did Vostro 200 come with Dell resource CD?
I was given a Vostro 200 to refurbish for a friend. I need to securely
erase everything first then reinstall everything. I'm not familiar with the
Vostro line though - did they come with a resource CD for driver reinstall like
the Optiplex and Dimension lines did?
