com port modem is connected to doesn't show in device manager
in my dimension 4500s, dev mgr lists only com port 1 and lpt1. modem
is connected to com 3. modem is working properly according to dev mgr. when
trying to connect to internet get message "windows does not list a modem for
this computer". ran a repair of win xp which got my desktop back.

Unable to register COM Class objects Event ID 102
Have New PowerEdge 2650 running Win2K with SP3 and Array Manager
3.4.0.
Everytime the server is booted, an event with the message " Unable to
register COM Class objects" Event ID 102 is written to the event log.
