Com 1 busy - Bypass?
Go to device mgr>com 1>port settings>advanced. At bottom of
that page it will say com 1. Change to some other port, i.e. com 2, click OK.
Assign your serial device to the port you just picked. Not sure why, but it
appears to work.

Hi! My name is Jonathan, I'm in U.S. Navy and stationed in the Middle
