Inspiron N4030 turning off after 20 seconds
My Inspiron N4030 is turning off exactly 20 seconds after
I click the power button. It turns off when I try to boot to
Windows or the BIOS or even when trying to boot from USB. It's always after 20
seconds. I tried doing diagnostics from the F12 menu. Still,

When I look at Windows
Update > Advanced options > Optional updates I see a firmware update
available named Dell, Inc. - Firmware - 11/20/2018 12:00:00 AM – 1.0.0.0. I
have looked on the Internet and cannot find any reference to this optional
update. Can anybody advise what it is for.

Dell XPS M1530 Alps Touchpad not seen in Fedora 20 -
3.15.10-201.fc20.x86_64 - will not scroll . Fedora 20 loads it as a mouse. The
Alps Touchpad works in Vista, so it isn't broke. Has anyone been able to fix
this issue in Fedora 20 - there doesn't appear to be a drive for it.

Will a 20 in. lcd monitor be clearer for 800X600 resolution than a 19 in?
I have heard that a 20 inch lcd (not a wide one though) will be
clearer at a 800X600 resolution than a 19 inch one. I think it has to do with
the native res on a 20 inch being 1600X1200 so that half of that would be
800X600.
Have you heard that?

I have an Inspiron 20 that's a little over a year old. I woke up
yesterday morning to a yellow screen with the circle of 'balls' like it was
trying to finish an update...there are no words on the screen. I let it keep
going, but after several hours tried to repower it, no luck...tried

Service Tag: I have the inspiron 20 3048 all-n-one, warranty has expired. I
just recently updated the suggested BIOS as advised. Then today the pc will not
boot up. My startup repair is unable to fix the issue. I do not know what to
