ECS - multiple entries in SCG for same ECS cluster?

For the same ECS cluster, there are multiple entries in SecureConnectGateway for a ECS cluster - one entry for each ECS node.

Can we delete every entry in SCG and leave only 1 for each cluster, and not affect SCG functionality?

Hi,

I don't have knowledge on ECS, so I asked one of my co-worker who is supporting ECS in Japan.

He mentioned that:

"It seems that SecureConnectGateway (SCG) entries are tied to individual ECS nodes for monitoring and connectivity purposes. Deleting entries might disrupt the functionality of SCG, as it relies on these entries to maintain communication with each node. If you consolidate entries to just one per cluster, SCG might lose visibility over individual nodes, potentially affecting its ability to monitor and manage them effectively." And an example if there are Nodes 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, and only Node 1 has an SCG, we can't assist with hardware replacement or support for Node 1.

@DELL-Joey C

Thank you for checking and providing the answer.

(Hopefully someday the SCG team will put in the ability to group devices into folders so the device management page is not so cluttered)  :-)
