Is deploying SCG on a KVM environment supported?

Hello, IHAC who is planning to install PowerFlex at their site, and at the same time they are going to deploy SCG and PolicyManager. Their problem is, that they do not have vSphere or MS Hypervisor in their environement, so they are considering deploying SCG on a RHEL KVM host, which is the only option they have. They are wondoring if it is trully supported to have SCG deployed on KVM. Also the same question for Policy Manager. Is it supported to have Policy Manager deployed on KVM?

Deploying SCG (Secure Connect Gateway) on a KVM environment isn’t officially supported by Dell. It’s designed for VMware, Hyper-V, and certain cloud platforms. While you can sometimes get it running on KVM with nested virtualization or by converting the OVA image, Dell won’t provide technical support for issues. For production, it’s safer to use a validated hypervisor.
