The dynamic model tutorial is pretty helpful, but won't get you there 100%. I'm working on exactly this right now and have a ticket open with EMC to assist. When I actually get this all to work from end to end, I'll post my findings.
Adding classes and attributes is easy... adding instrumentation and notifications is not.
Yes, Berkay runs this site and is very much a SMARTS expert.
In my testing, I have used examples from three different SMARTS tutorials plus the ifountain information and found many of the bits of information to be contradictory... It seems that version 6.x versus 7.x have different methodologies for instrumenting. Either that or the documentation is just different.
BTW, his 3rd party products (RapidInsight, RapidCMDB, etc...) are excellent add-ons to SMARTS!!!
Yes, exactly so, this site has many contradictory. Currently I found ASL advanced training and Develop Training, but can't share it here, because Dev training on Paper only and ASL take 700 Mb.
But I think after my learning of this documentation I will share my examples here, because all that touches EMC smarts Model and Dynamic Model have no good examples and explanations.

My colleague from my company was in EMC course and share it with me, but it is EMC confidential and proprietary information.
