EmailXtender index issue.

Hi

At  a customer we are running Emailxtender & sourceone in coexistence mode.

As we are preparing the migration of the emailxtender archive to S1 i was running the healthchecks

Now i ran into an issue.

The healthcheck reported :

Index G:\Program Files\OTG\EmailXtender\EmailVault_Index\IndexDir\EmailVault_Index_Trading\200902\001 looks suspect.

So i tried rebuilding the index, but the message remains.

Any suggestions? What could be the impact of this on the migration?ed

Any feedback would be appriciated

Thnx

Kind Regards

Hello,

Do you see any blue or red '!' marks on any of the volumes or months using EX Admin GUI?

Did you check if healthcheck shows number of messages archived and indexed are matching or not ? For every single index set you should see the numbers matching. If numbers do not match you can see the index set being reported as suspect. EX Admin guide has chaper on Healthcheck which explains what to do in different conditions e.g. index sets missing messages or when index sets are corrupt.

Once the number of messages archived and index start to match you can run 'Verify index' option in helathcheck to have the index set corrected and blue '!' marks be taken care of.

Impact of having index set in state depends because when messages are ingested into SOurceOne, SourceOne indexes the messages anyway but some information from SQL is also need to be copied over from EX to SOurceOne for the ownership of the messages. Due to that I would encourage to make sure you take care of indexes in advance.

Thanks,

Rajan
