I had a lot of problems with Extract crashing under version 564. I had a ticket open with EMC for about 7 months. They gave me a special binary that was a newer build of the Extract.exe file. I used that until 655 came out.
I'd upgrade ASAP to version 655. Otherwise, if you want, I can dig up that binary and forward it over to you. I make no promises that it won't hose anything else, cya statement insert here, etc, etc...
The error message you are mentioning due to N number of reasons, unless someone spends time to dig out debug informatioin there is nothing that once could certainly confirm about this error.
All it means that EmailXtract_Exchange.exe has died due to failure of MSMAPI32.DLL,
As mentioned by another user best is to upgrade to 4.81.655 and see if the issue disapper, if it does not you might want to talk to EmailXtender Support about this issue.
Alternatively if you do not want to upgrade and would like the issue be addressed still its EMC Support that needs to analyze all the information to let you know about a fix. One fix that worked on another site cannot garuntee in your environment unless ALL symptoms match.
