EmailXtract problem
Hi,
When I try to run Archive task, I usually get error:
Running Archive Task : Task0028
Using MAPI profile: Outlook
Processing all mailboxes
Process messages from all dates
Using Received date in messages
Searching for messages whose originator matches: Anton ¿vanut
Task Start Time : 11-02-2008 08:35:14
Server availability checked...
Processing messages for all date ranges.
------------ Archival --> Processing Mailboxes for Server: WILLIAMS ------------------
*** Error Logging onto profile in MAPILogon(): E_FAIL - Unspecified error
Server DN = /O=ADD/OU=ADDLJ/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=WILLIAMS
*** Error Opening private message store: : E_FAIL - Unspecified error
*** Error Mailbox table not available for private message store: : E_FAIL - Unspecified error

does the problem still exist? Is this a problem for one user only or all users?
- In EmailXtract, you can test this for individual mailboxes...
- This looks like a permission problem. Can you open the mailbox using the Outlook with the permissions of the service account?

This might be related to MAPI itself, have seen it when outlook 2000 was used on EX server.
I would suggest making sure your outlook is up to date(at least Office 2003 SP2) and even try to do the repair of outlook while EX services are down.
