EMC Discovery Manager Client Configuration

Hi,

Is there a way to change the default location of the Messages folder within the client?

The client is installed in C:\ProgramData\.... and the messages folder is within that path.

I would like to relocate the messages folder to c:\users\%username%\....

Greetings,

I am not aware of any way to achieve what you want to achieve. May I ask why do you want to do it ? The reason to ask this question is because it is a very small install file, users cannot use this application unless they are added to Discovery Manager users lists.

Hi Rajan,

I made an Appv-5 sequence of the client, which works perfectly. But I cannot write to the location so I'd like to change the location to for example the userprofile.

Hi Arnaud,

If you could wait for some time, new release of SourceOne is scheduled to be released. That will have web interface for discovery manager. Then you would not need to install anything on client side. Still for now thick client will be there too. Unfortunately engineering didn’t publish switches for DM install directory.
