Receiving Errors when importing EML Files
I am trying to import EML files into SourceOne, I am receiving this error on a vast majority of the files.
Failed to calculate message ID (0x86040604) [ExJBJournal.exe, ExMsgBaseImpl2.cpp(33).CExMsgBase::ProcessMessageId]
Unable to initialize MIME message. (0x86041514) [ExJBJournal.exe, CoExMIMEMsg.cpp(1221).CoExMIMEMsg::CalcNativeMsgId]
Cannot open the embedded MIME message attachment from message:\\stldatatrusttemp\e$\Migration\Part2\712DAE94E843C2D1BD0092FE45E439A1.eml. (0x86041507) [ExJBJournal.exe, CoExMIMEMsg.cpp(2430).CoExMIMEMsg::ProcessEnvelope]
Attribute Cmptd not found [ExJBJournal.exe, CoExMIMEMsg.cpp(2430).CoExMIMEMsg::ProcessEnvelope]
Anyone have any ideas? Please let me know.

Can you please confirm which software is creating these EML files ? SourceOne can archive EML files provided they meet the standards defined.
1. Are you able to open these EML files on SourceOne worker server using outlook (32bit) client ?
2. SourceOne has archived other messages or is it new system ? This is to rule out if issue is with EML only or with all kind of messages.
3. Would you be able to share sample EML file which will help us to determine if this could be processed in a test environment ? You may want to open a service request with support for privacy.
From the looks from the errors you mentioned, there is a chance that EML file is missing some properties that product is looking for.

Hi,
Please check if you EMC Sourceone Archive Database is fragmented.
Command : dbcc showcontig
Emc setup have script to defrag your database.
Also it looks its only with MIME messages, try to open msg in journaling
mailbox (in Outlook) and see if its healthy.
MIME Msg are encrypted message require to configure in oulook to accept
them, please take help of EMC Support for further analysis
