SourceOne and Email Modification Date

I'd like to know if there is a way to change the modification date across all emails on a SourceOne Archive Folder? We are using a SourceOne to archive emails from Exhcnage 2010. It works fine and we are archiving according to the modification date. However, we recently discovered that moving email folders from Outlook to the archive folder does not change the mod date on the email. Moving the email individually changes the Mod date just fine. We have a short 1 year archive folder and the intent is for the emails to be deleted 1 Year AFTER moving the email to the folder. Any advice or thought would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings,

SourceOne archives messages in different ways e.g. Journaling, historical archiving and PST ingestions. Once it is in SourceOne dates cannot be changes because compliance is to have them preserved in the original format. If someone changes messages in their mailbox but do not set to anyone, that means it is not relayed and will not be picked by journaling. But if someone if running historical archiving these messages will be picked up depending upon the criteria used in the algorithm. This will not replace original message but it will be archived as another message due to compliance requirements.

Regards,

Rajan
