DVD Dcoder Software Missing

Question

I recovered from a hard drive failure recently and now when I go to play a DVD, I get an error message - no DVD decoder...   1. Any idea how to get this from Dell? 2. Is there a free version of a decoder on the net somewhere.  Every place I look seems to sell a complete family of software to copy burn etc.  I just want to read..   Thanks

A DVD Decoder is supplied by Dell. It is usually PowerDVD. If you are still within the warranty
period, you can request the disc.
