DVD does not recognize disk
When I put a DVD in the drive a message appears on the screen that says "insert disk into drive D" Of course there already is a DVD in the drive. Any idea what may be the problem? The device is an HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8163B.

Dell has created a fairly nice FAQ for this board. Please click on the FAQ at the top of this page, then scroll down to Standard Trouble Shooting steps for CD/DVD drives.
Try these and see if anything there helps.
