Error 2000-0151

Hi.

I have a Dell Inspiron15.  It has been cycling through a "scanning and repairing drive" repeatedly, restarting when it gets about 90%.  I ran a diagnostics and god the following:

Error 2000-0151

Valid 70062

Msg Hard Drive 0-S/N [insert numbers here], incorrect status = 32

Can anyone help?

    Hi Momsbandb,

    Your hard drive is dead and needs to be replaced.

    Hi.  Thanks.  OK, a follow-up question.  Windows 8 came pre-installed on this laptop.  If I purchase a replacement hard drive, how do I get Windows installed?

    The simplest solution is to obtain Windows 10 for free:

    www.microsoft.com/.../windows10

    It can be used with your system to install Windows 10.  If you want Windows 8 you will need to contact Dell to purchase it.
