Updating the BIOS may fix the issue. Please click the link mentioned below:

Note: Ensure that the system is more than 30% charged and the adapter is connected during the BIOS update process.

Thanks & Regards

Manshu S:  Thanks for replying.  I updated once with the BIOS.  The latest BIOS download for the Precision M4600 could not be installed due to it being older than A03.  Do I need to go in order of BIOS updates or is there a threshold I can start from?  btw, the BIOS link you sent me to is for another device... Precision M6400, however, I know where to find the updates for the M4600.

Manshu S: I was able to update the BIOS to current A14 after updating the BIOS to A03.  I've been reading blogs on others that are having difficulties after an update.  Is there any way to revert to or download an old driver for the CD.  Apparently it was originally shipped with D800 driver.  The "new" driver is D600.  I think this is the problem.

One point requires clarification. The link provided by Dell-Manshu S refers to firmware, not a Windows device driver.
