This device cannot start. (Code 10)

I have a inspiron 530s.It has a Optiarc DVD+Rw AD-7200s ata device.  In device manager my error is Device cannot start  code 10. I did use the Microsoft fix it and it states the driver would have to be uninstalled and reinstalled. I have never did that before and I am use to xp not vista (kids think I know everything) so this is new to me. If I uninstall the driver and reboot will it reinstall? I didn't see the driver on dells site.

Hi, glorybirds:

Please go to the CD/DVD FAQ and follow the instructions for a "code 39 error" for Vista. That procedure should solve this problem.

The fix it did not work. I ended up going into the registry and following the instructions. I was a little nervous but it worked. Thank you very much.
