ECC and Windows 2003 SP2

I would like to hear from EMC folks or brave customers :) ...if there are any issues with installing Windows 2003 SP2 on a box running ECC 5.2 SP4.

I need some input on this item as well.

Customers are starting to ask about upgrading and what it will affect.

Thanks. The customer will not upgrade to SP2 until they know that EMC supports the SAN aspect of it. Not only ECC but PowerPath and ensuring the Emulex drivers are approved, etc.

The word I got from my account team after they opened a case is:

Per ELAB, SP2 is not scheduled to GA until the end of March. April is the targeted ESM date, but we will not approve RPQs before then

Anyone got any rumors or updates to SP2 and EMC adding it to the support matrix?

Thanks

Hi,
Win2k3 SP2 (in all versions) is fully supported be EMC in all of the products that SP1 is supported on and all the hardware components as well.

I've personally had the pleasure to test win2k3 SP2 with PP v4.5.1 + ECC v5.2 SP5 + SE 6.4.1 + RM v5 SP1 + MSCS. the HBAs were Emulex LPe11000-E and the server IBM X3550 . Everything went smooth as hell :).

Hope that helps,
IK
